Dr. Claire Fouchereaux

Claire Fouchereaux is Postdoctoral Fellow and Visiting Assistant Professor of French at Wabash College (Indiana, USA). She holds a Ph.D. in French and Francophone Studies from Indiana University Bloomington. Her publications include articles on the representation of France by mainstream rappers in Québec and on the critical perspective of pioneer of African cinemas Paulin S. Vieyra. She was the recipient of a prestigious Graduate Student Scholarship from the International Council for Canadian Studies/Conseil international d’études canadiennes in support of her doctoral research on rap in Québec during the 2000s and 2010s and the genre’s relationship to cultural institutions and community construction.
